Audit - Internal Inspection and Interrogation

This includes the Perimeter Test and testing inside of the firewall (i.e. inside the trusted network). This is to identify vulnerabilities associated with internal networks, servers and workstations, in addition to routers, firewall systems and infrastructure services (e.g. DNS, e-mail etc). Test procedures are similar to those used in Perimeter Testing, extended into Internal interfaces and networks and key systems jointly identified.

The discovered vulnerabilities, the level of risk and countermeasures are documented in an Internal Vulnerability Report.
